One of the ways in which we are dedicated to enriching education within our community is by enhancing the Story Time experience. Our Art Enrichment Specialists work to select inclusive children’s books that can help start conversations. We create activity sheets to go along with each selection which includes lessons, questions, and an art activity that follow the themes of the books.

Our selections are always available for free through the Illinois Heartland Library System and each Activity Sheet includes a link to a YouTube video where the stories are read aloud. You can contact your local library for inquiries related to signing up for a library card. Through this system, if a book you are interested in is not available at your local library, it can be requested from other participating branches and delivered to your library.
